The most common worry we hear is about the wall material. It is usually the wrong worry. The channel mounts to the fascia at the roof edge, so brick, stucco, cedar, vinyl and fiber cement all end up in roughly the same place. Permanent roofline lighting.

Where cladding does matter

Stucco: any wall-mounted fixture needs proper anchors and sealing, and we avoid wall mounting where we can
Brick: drilling into mortar joints rather than brick faces, and only where a wall fixture is genuinely required
Cedar: fastener choice matters to avoid staining, and pre-drilling avoids splitting
Vinyl: expansion and contraction is real, so nothing is fastened rigidly through a panel

What actually decides the install

The condition of the fascia, the depth of the overhang, and whether there is a gutter in the way. We check all three at the on-site measure, which is one of several reasons we do not quote over the phone.
