Brytr Co
A single-story Omaha home in October with the roofline, front beds, rock steps and walk all lit, the entry gable set to blue

Built by the people who show up on the roof.

Brytr exists because every permanent lighting quote in this metro came from somebody selling exactly one brand and calling it the only good option. We carry two, and the same people take a job from the measure to the handover.

A local crew, and the system they fit.

  • It is the only thing we do

Not a roofing company with a lighting arm, and not a seasonal side line.

  • The same faces, start to finish

The crew that measures your house is the crew that fits it and comes back to it.

  • No dispatcher in the middle

The people who fitted it are the people you reach when something needs looking at.

Why we carry more than we have to.

Zac and Sam had both been on the other side of this. A homeowner asks three companies for a quote, gets three quotes for three different single-brand systems, and has no way to tell whether the differences matter or whether they are just what each company happens to sell.

The Haven lineup

Named on the quote, not implied

  • Roofline

    Haven Evolution

The channel routed into the eave. A dedicated warm white diode, so warm white is real rather than mixed.

  • Soffit

    Haven Q Series

Fixtures inside the overhang, washing down the face of the house rather than along the roofline.

  • Landscape

    Haven 9 Series

Path lights, uplights and bed washers, on the same controller as the roofline.

  • Overhead

    Haven X Bistro

Permanent bistro runs for pergolas and patio covers. Rated cable, not a seasonal string.

All of it runs from the one controller and the one app, which is why most people add the second and the third thing a season later rather than buying everything at once. Everything we install.

Decisions that make us less money.

More than one brand on the truck.

Almost every permanent lighting company in this metro is a dealer for a single manufacturer, which is a normal way to run the business and means the recommendation is settled before anyone looks at your house. We lead with Haven, we install every line of it, and where a house does not call for it we say so and quote what it does.

What it costs

Two sets of stock and two sets of training to keep straight.

We will tell you the cheaper one is right.

A simple single-story roofline with two elevations and no color ambition does not need the most expensive hardware we carry, and we say so at the table rather than after you have signed. Sometimes that is a worse day for us and a better system for you.

What it costs

The difference between the two quotes, on every house where the cheaper answer is the right one.

The same crew, measure to handover.

Permanent lighting is fastened into your fascia board and sealed, and the failures in this trade are workmanship far more often than product. The people who measure your house are the people who fit it, and the people who come back to it, which is the only thing that makes any of the rest of this checkable.

What it costs

Training and a slower schedule instead of whoever is free that week.

The last hour is unbilled.

The scene walkthrough is the step most installers skip, and it is the one that catches problems. It is also the reason a crew is still on your property when the lights come up rather than on the next job.

What it costs

Roughly an hour of a two-person crew, on every install, billed to nobody.

We publish the daylight photographs.

Every gallery in this trade is a hundred night shots, because darkness flatters any install and a badly fixed channel is invisible at midnight. We put the noon frames up beside them. Some people look at those, decide the hardware is more visible than they had pictured, and do not call back.

What it costs

The buyers who would have booked off the night shots alone.

Zac and Sam.

Both of them are named in the reviews rather than in a bio, which is the version worth reading. What customers say about working with them.

What we are actually selling.

Not a product line. A crew that turns up, a channel fixed into fascia rather than stapled to a shingle, and a run that still holds a straight line in year eight.

On the roof. The same crew from the measure to the handover, and the same crew if anything ever needs looking at.

A working day, in daylight, which is when the fixings are visible.

The handover. We do not leave until you have stood on your own lawn and looked at it lit.
