Gameday is the single most-used custom scene our Omaha customers build, ahead of every holiday except Christmas. It is also the one people most often get wrong on a DIY kit, because saturated red at full brightness reads as an alarm rather than as team colors. Gameday lighting.
What works
- Scarlet at 70 to 80 percent rather than full output
- Alternating scarlet and warm white rather than solid red
- Front elevation only, with the sides left on warm white
- A slow chase for the hour before kickoff, then steady during the game
What to avoid
Full-brightness solid red across every elevation, and fast flashing patterns. Both read as an emergency vehicle from down the street, and both are the reason some HOAs got nervous about this category in the first place.
